Christmas Cookies:

So today I thought I would get into the festive spirit and bake some Christmassy cookies. Here are the ingredients you will need:

225g of soft butter or margarine
140g caster sugar
1 egg
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
280g plain flour
A pinch of salt
And 50g (or about that) of a filling of your choice

First things first cream (basically mix) the egg and butter together. Then add all the other listed ingredients and mix until it creates a smoothe consistency. Then be creative and add anything you like. I wanted mine to be festive so I added a mix of nuts and some chocolate and honeycombe. Other ideas could be apple and cinnamon or peanut butter? Your mixture should look something like this:

Now spoon the mixture onto some backing paper, place them into a tray and cook then in the oven for 20 minutes (or until golden). Then leave for about 10 minutes to harden. Now your cookies are ready!

Sleek Blush Review:

This blusher by sleek is great for contouring. I got the shade "suede" and I find the pigment is perfect for creating a natural shadow. The colour is a little scary at first as it's a pinky tan which I would normally stay clear from as I already have naturally pink cheeks which I really wouldn't want to make any more pink, but surprisingly it works brilliantly giving you a subtle winter glow.

A Wintery Salad Recipe

When it comes to Christmas time it is definitely the time for nuts (no innuendo intended). Today I wanted to use up some of the nuts we have in the house by making a wintery salad. Here are the ingredients I used:
I took a selection of walnuts, almonds and hazelnuts and cracked them into a bowl.
Apples are my favourite fruit to have in a salad so I chopped up a juicy green apple.

To balance out the sweet I added some savoury In the form of fresh spring onion roughly cut.

Now for the base of my salad, baby leaves of cress and spinach.

No salad is complete without a salad dressing. In mine I like to use a teaspoon of wholegrain mustard.

A teaspoon of my dad's homemade honey.

And a a couple of teaspoons of white wine vinegar.

Then through all the ingredients together and hope for the best.

Tadaa!!!!

Tea and Cake

Green tea and rasberry cupcake, yum.

Winter Lipsticks

These are my favourite lipstick shades for the winter season. A dark lip is definitely on trend at the moment and these lipsticks provide the perfect spectrum of shades and tones to master the look. My favorite is the Bobbi Brown lipstick in Orange as it's smoothe to apply, not too glossy but not drying and it lasts all day.

(From left to right) Bobbi Brown in Orange 7, Mac in Rebel, Soap and Glory in Naked Beig, Revlon in Black Cherry.

1 Week Until Christmas!

I can't believe it is nearly Christmas! Where has the time gone? Here are some of my favourite Christmas decorations on my Christmas tree.
